Overview:

In this project, students will learn the different parts of the water cycle in relation to weather. The students will be able to watch “rain” falling. This project should be done with an adult.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Create a small-scale water cycle.
  2. Understand the water cycle. 
  3. Apply what they have learned to the weather. 
  4. Evaluate why water has cycles and the way they work.
  5. Identify examples of the water cycle in everyday life.

MS-ESS2-4.Develop a model to describe the cycling of water through Earth’s systems driven by energy from the sun and the force of gravity
MS-PS1-3.Gather and make sense of information to describe that synthetic materials come from natural resources and impact society
5-PS1-1.Develop a model to describe that matter is made of particles too small to be seen.
